- Born in small town NC to a preacher's kid preacher and his preacher's-kid music-teaching wife. Middle of 3 boys.
- High school in Charlotte, NC, college at Davidson (music composition).
- Spent a year teaching English in Russia, another studying cognitive sciences in Edinburgh, one learning how to code in a DC suburb.
- Then chasing lesser apes in Thailand, teaching in Japan, and touring around Southeast Asia
- Co-founded Grass Commons with Lewis Hoffman in Eugene, Oregon.
- Now living in Fort Collins, CO, making Wagn rock.
