You may have noticed that you can open and close cards by clicking on their title (or the triangle beside the title). And if you're really paying attention, you'll see that some cards are included within other cards.

Cards can include other cards inside them, which has many benefits:

When a card is open, you can see what is called its type to the right of its title.

These types really become significant once you start trying to organize your information. We call Wagn's unique approach to structure "connecting cards" or "plus cards" -- joining two cards together with a plus sign to form a new third card.

Also known as connections or connection cards, plus cards are one of the core innovations of Wagn. The basic idea is that any two ...

Inclusion, types, and plus cards are fairly simple tools, but they open up some very powerful dynamic possibilities. For example, formatting uses those three elemental tools to create an elegant content management system. Formatting allows you to create default content and cardtypes, format page layouts, and more:

    What are Forms?

    Star Cards

Star Cards are cards that Wagn gives special meaning. They're called "star cards" because their names begin with an asterisk. For example, we refer to the card named *sidebar as "star sidebar".

That card's content "magically" appears on the sidebar of Wagn.org. The "magic" comes from the card's name; renaming kills the magic!

Some of the other star cards also relate to customization:

Site name (appears in browser's title bar): Wagn Name of home card (if different from *title): Explore_Organize_Thrive
