I noticed the option in the sidebar to create a custom user menu and wanted to see how it was done. However I don't have permission to edit *sidebar so I couldn't see the syntax to do it. It might be better to put the "You don't have permission..." message above and grey out the save button while still showing the contents of the cards edit box.

Love your proposal, could've sworn we have this problem ticketed but not this solution, which may also address some people being confused by the current message they get when they try to edit a card. --John Abbe
