I had General+discussion in my sidebar as an item in change view, so it seems to be a problem (only, hopefully) if you have a card included twice, at least once in change view. (Haven't tested this thoroughly yet)

the card mentioned in the example no longer crashes. don't know of any other way to test, but I'm pretty clear the issue had to do with methods that the Card model had but CachedCard didn't. Since that distinction is now gone thanks to refactor cached card, I'm closing now.
