Accounts

When you first set up a Wagn, going to its front page will invite you to give an account name, an email address, and a password. This account will automatically be given the Administrator role. Once you are signed in, you can click on "Invite a Friend" in the upper right corner to give accounts to more people. Config

Account options and most other configuration of a Wagn is done from its Config card (there are links to it from your sidebar and front page). From there you can customize your Wagn's title and home card, its logo and colors, the sidebar, and more. Many sections link back here to Wagn's documentation for anything complex enough to need that. There are links to your Wagn's Config card in your sidebar and on your Wagn's front page.

Permissions

You'll want to think out permissions as early as possible; while you can change defaults for new cards later easily, changing any existing cards' permissions has to be done by hand.

Wagn's default setup is that anyone can view your wiki, but to edit they have to have an account and be logged in. You can also configure Wagn to be open-edit — so that anyone can edit most cards, or completely private — so that only people with accounts can see anything.

The card determining default permissions for most cards is Basic+*tform.  On that and all cards, permissions are set in the Options tab. Whatever way these are set on Basic+*tform will be applied not only to Basic cards, but to all other cardtypes, unless the relevant cardtype has a form. For example, if there is no Pointer+*tform, new Pointer cards will start with the permissions of Basic+*tform. If there is a Pointer+*tform, then new Pointers will start with its permissions.

Note: you can always change a card's permissions individually, even if it's controlled by a hard form.
