Also known as connections or connection cards, plus cards are one of the core innovations of Wagn.
The basic idea is that any two cards can be plussed together to create a third. So for example, I might have a card about Dell Computers called "Dell" and another about labor issues called "labor". If I connect these two cards together I get a third called "Dell+labor". I can then enter into that card anything about the intersection of Dell and labor - Dell's labor record in general, specific events, direct feedback, etc. Any time you see a + in the name of a card, you know you're dealing with a plus card.
Plus cards can be used for categorization (e.g. tagging), assigning attributes to a card (as in a spreadsheet or simple database - [add pic of card ID vs. attribute]), or explaining any kind of relationship between two cards. They're also used to implement some of Wagn's other features, such as formatting or putting cards in the sidebar.
Naming things - Cards that aren't plus cards are called simple cards. In the context of a given plus card, we use "left" to refer to refer to the left part (Dell), "right" to refer to the right part, and "self" to refer to the whole (Dell+labor).
The right part can only be a simple card, but the left part can be simple or a plus card. So for example, you can plus Dell+labor to sources (and get Dell+labor+sources), but you can't plus anything to Dell+labor.

How To
To see a card's existing connections, click on the Related tab and look under Connections:
+*plus cards: -- the connections themselves
+*plus parts: -- the cards connected to via the plus cards
Three ways to create a new connection:
- Click on the Related tab, then the button at the bottom of Connections (labeled something like 'Connect XXX to another card').
- Create a new card with a '+' in the name between the two cards you're connecting, for example 'Ada Lovelace+favorite language'.
(Wagn is pretty smart about creating plus cards like this -- it will find the parts if they are there, and create them if they are not.)
